Perry Lakes Empire heading for the finish line

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Residential -

THE finish line is in sight for TRG Properties’ Empire Perry Lakes development.

In Floreat, on the former site of the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, Empire offers 123 one, two and three-bedroom apartments across two stages.

Construction on Empire East, which includes 27 apartments, was completed in December 2015 and residents have now moved in.

The second and final stage of the development, the 96-apartment Empire West, is on track for completion by the end of the year.

Overall sales at both Empire East and Empire West have passed $65 million, with more than 75 per cent of the residences sold.

TRG Properties chief operating officer Tanya Trevisan said Empire’s location and pricing had proved key selling points.

“Empire offers the opportunity to secure a luxurious apartment with generous indoor and outdoor living space in one of the most sought-after locations in the western suburbs – once the home of world-class sporting events and now being transformed into a world-class residential precinct,” she said.

“It’s surrounded by blue chip homes and parkland but it also has great proximity to state-of-the-art sporting facilities, unique entertainment venues such as the Quarry Amphitheatre and some of WA’s best beaches, as well as an array of shopping and dining options.”

Buyers also welcomed Empire’s sophisticated modern design and luxurious finishes.

Apartments at Empire feature 900mm wide Smeg kitchen appliances, reconstituted stone benchtops, glass splashbacks, full-height tiling to bathrooms and extra-wide fridge bays with plumbing at the rear.

All residences are smart wiring ready, and also offer large balconies and courtyards, 2.7m ceilings to living areas and bedrooms, 100 per cent wool carpets, bamboo flooring to living areas and reverse-cycle airconditioning. Those calling Empire home will also enjoy unique communal facilities, with the old Empire Games scoreboard building being transformed by TRG Properties into an impressive residents’ lounge and gym.

Ms Trevisan said local buyers had been strongly represented in sales to date.

“We have seen a high number of buyers who are either local or had moved out of the area and now see Empire as the perfect opportunity to come back,” she said. “These buyers are familiar with the array of amenity on the doorstep and the quiet enjoyment offered by the parkland setting, and taken the opportunity to secure an Empire address.”

Of the 28 apartments still available, all twobedroom, two-bathroom residences, three are at Empire East and 25 are at Empire West.

Prices for remaining available apartments start from $649,000 at Empire East and $629,000 at Empire West.
