POLICE are seeking assistance from the public regarding the use of a stolen credit card in Claremont. Just after 11am on Thursday, September 29, a woman used a stolen credit card at a grocery store in Beechboro to purchase items. In the space of a few hours, the card was used 14 times in Claremont, Kiara and Beechboro. Some of the items purchased were fast food, groceries and on an online gambling site. The woman is described as having dark skin, medium build, dark hair and being 25-35 years old. She was wearing a black Adidas jumper, black pants and carrying a bright blue wallet. A handbag and its contents were stolen from a Claremont home while the occupant was home. Between 8.45am and noon on Monday, October 17, a woman in her Loch Street home heard a noise while vacuuming. She investigated and found her handbag had been taken from the kitchen. Credit cards in the bag were also stolen and later used for several transactions. Police investigations continue.
