FOR just a bit more than $1000, your Renault Kangoo can be fitted with a just-launched Lifestyle Pack that adds more class and versatility to the popular van.

Specially designed for the long wheelbase five-seat Kangoo Maxi Crew, the pack provides R-Link enhanced audio and navigation system with 7inch touchscreen and digital radio, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and ventilation for the second row passengers.

Outside, it adds a smooth, redesigned, colour-coded front bumper, a painted rear bumper, gloss black door mirrors, and extra tinted glass.

Rear side windows are a dealer fit option, providing a light and airy feel for the whole vehicle, and cost from $290 plus dealer fitting.

The Lifestyle Pack is $1290 and Renault's Lyndon Healey says the new level of comfort and style for a working vehicle lets it double as weekend family transport.

“Even when configured to carry five adults there is still good load space behind the rear seats, and with the optional rear side windows fitted, the van looks and feels like a family car,” he said.

“In fact, it could earn its keep as a highly efficient taxi, premium airport shuttle or multi-role courier vehicle.”

The Kangoo Maxi Crew has a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine, that drives the front wheels through a slick shifting 6speed manual gearbox.

All Kangoos built after June now have driver and front passenger side airbags and rear parking sensor.

The Kangoo is built on the platform of the Scenic people mover, so it drives like a passenger car, and with the Lifestyle Pack addition, businesses have access to a versatile workhorse that is 100 per cent claimable as a business expense for ABN holders.

A lifestyle pack transforms the Kangoo van.
