Ice rink for Christmas

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Business -

A SYNTHETIC ice rink will form part of the Town of Claremont’s Christmas celebrations this year.

The two-day free skating rink will be based in Claremont Park, encouraging ice skaters of all abilities to chasse, glide and spin.

Claremont Mayor Jock Barker said Christmas was a special time of the year for the Claremont community to come together to celebrate and join in the festive fun.

“Claremont Park will be an exceptional location for our new synthetic ice skating rink,” he said.

“I am looking forward to seeing the community get active on the ice, whether they are tentatively trying skates on for the first time, or seasoned professionals.

“Our annual community event, Christmas in Claremont, will have free activities to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

“Bring the family along to enjoy a Christmas carol sing-along, sit on Santa’s knee, or browse the night markets for a special gift.”
