DON’T TAKE HOLIDAY FROM VIGILANCE

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Streetwatch - -Senior Sergeant Julie Foley

I have been privileged to meet many representatives of the community, local businesses and the nine local councils in my subdistrict in the past year. I thank them all for their time and effort working together with myself and the team at Wembley police to ensure a safe and secure WA to live, work and play. 2017 will again see us seeking to strengthen our partnerships throughout the community to further tackle crime, and look toward how we can all focus on the areas that concern us the most. Over the holiday season please ensure that you secure your home, businesses and vehicles. Tips on how to reduce your risk of being a victim of crime can be found at www.police.wa.gov.au/Crime/Victims-ofcrime/How-to-reduce-your-risk. Our main crime pressure remains theft, in particular stealing from motor vehicles. Remember on leaving your car, any items that you can see, a thief can see. Please ensure you lock your vehicle and remove all bags, cash, valuables, telephones and electronics at all times.
