M OSMAN PARK
IT is alleged a Mosman Park man (20) had 3.6g of cannabis when he was stopped by police on Gibbon Street about 7.20pm on December 9, before being given a cannabis intervention notice. Police patrols of the area also arrested a Fremantle man (31) who allegedly had a smoking implement while at a bus stop on the street on December 3, and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. On December 14 at 9.50am, a Mosman Park man (31) allegedly had 1g of cannabis when he was stopped on nearby Wellington Street, and a Mt Pleasant man allegedly had the same amount of the drug when he was searched 25 minutes later on Gibbon Street. Both were summonsed to appear in court at later dates.
A MOSMAN Park woman (30) allegedly sat on her 60-year-old mother’s back and tried to choke her at their McEwan Crescent home about 4.20pm on December 12. Sergeant Paul Gelmi said it would be alleged the daughter and mother had argued before the assault, after which the daughter let go, before an ambulance was called. The mother allegedly suffered a 3cm bruise to her lower neck and other minor bruising. The daughter was charged with assault and remanded in custody to reappear in court on March 17.
DETECTIVES are investigating a burglary at a hairdressers on Stuart Street at 1.33am on December 12. Sergeant Paul Gelmi said a wooden front door was forced open. The burglars took hairdryers and hair straighteners in total worth about $1825.
