ROYAL Perth Hospital nursing school graduates from the class of 1967 will be celebrating their 50th reunion in January.

The Class of ’67 nursing students will gather at the Royal Hotel in East Perth at noon on Saturday, January 7 to catch up and relieve past glories.

Former nursing students can RSVP by contacting Janet Bender on 9447 1871.

RPH was the state’s leading nursing school for many decades.

The first nurse was accepted for nurse training at what was then the Perth Public Hospital in 1896 and the last RPH graduating class was in 1975.

In September, the RPH Ex-Trainees & Associates celebrated its 80th anniversary.

The group started in 1936 to help nurses who trained at RPH to “maintain contact and fellowship”.
