Witnesses sought to serious crashes
A MAN (80) is dead and a woman (38) is in hospital after separate serious crashes in Kings Park and East Perth on the weekend of January 7 and 8.
A police spokesman said a Nissan Pulsar driven by the man hit four cars parked on the western side of May Drive, near Synergy Parkland, in the park about 5.15pm on January 7.
The man did not respond to CPR from an off-duty nurse and died, having been taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital by St John Ambulance.
The car’s female passenger (80) was uninjured and there were no people in the parked cars.
In East Perth, a left-hand drive Ford Maverick coupe and a Ford Falcon collided at the Graham Farmer Freeway overpass intersection about 8pm last Saturday.
A woman passenger in the Maverick’s rear had to be cut free by firefighters, before she, the driver (33) and second passenger were all taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
The Falcon’s driver (26) was also taken by ambulance as a precaution.
Witnesses before, during and after each crash are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
