Wit­nesses sought to se­ri­ous crashes

A MAN (80) is dead and a woman (38) is in hos­pi­tal af­ter sep­a­rate se­ri­ous crashes in Kings Park and East Perth on the week­end of Jan­uary 7 and 8.

A po­lice spokesman said a Nis­san Pul­sar driven by the man hit four cars parked on the west­ern side of May Drive, near Syn­ergy Park­land, in the park about 5.15pm on Jan­uary 7.

The man did not re­spond to CPR from an off-duty nurse and died, hav­ing been taken to Sir Charles Gaird­ner Hos­pi­tal by St John Am­bu­lance.

The car’s fe­male pas­sen­ger (80) was un­in­jured and there were no peo­ple in the parked cars.

In East Perth, a left-hand drive Ford Mav­er­ick coupe and a Ford Fal­con col­lided at the Gra­ham Farmer Free­way over­pass in­ter­sec­tion about 8pm last Satur­day.

A woman pas­sen­ger in the Mav­er­ick’s rear had to be cut free by fire­fight­ers, be­fore she, the driver (33) and sec­ond pas­sen­ger were all taken to Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal by St John Am­bu­lance.

The Fal­con’s driver (26) was also taken by am­bu­lance as a pre­cau­tion.
