WITH the philosophy of prevention, Cottesloe Dental aims to make your child's dental experiences as pleasant as possible.

Current guidelines are for children to visit a dentist by 12 months of age to gently introduce the child to dentistry when in need of very limited or no treatment.

This will allow for a relationship to be formed with the dentist focused on prevention.

Parents can ask any questions on maintaining good dental health for their child and the dentist can demonstrate appropriate brushing techniques and discuss diet and fluoride needs.

If required, white fillings are used exclusively in children's teeth and happy gas (nitrous oxide) is available to help reduce anxiety during procedures.

Check if you are eligible for the Government’s Child Dental Benefits Scheme, which covers basic services (capped at $700 per child over a two-calendar year period) and is aimed at children two to 17 years.

Cottesloe Dental bulk bills eligible patients for this service.
