DAVID Jones has launched its autumn winter 2017 campaign Live Outside the Seasons.
Much like Perth’s weather last week, the collection transitions between weather conditions, proving that our seasons refuse to be defined from a dark and stormy setting to warm, sizzling heat.
Exclusive Australian designers featured include Karen Walker and Macgraw, as well as Zimmermann, Carla Zampatti, Camilla, Lover, Romance Was Born, Viktoria & Woods, Camilla and Marc, Bec & Bridge and Dion Lee.
There are also international designers Valentino, Balenciaga, Aquazzura, Frame, Chloe and Alaia.
Leather is on-trend this season and does not just take the form of biker jackets, leggings and handbags.
The fabric has been given even more edge by being pleated, incorporating cut-outs and adding coloured panels for a motocross spin.
Pair edgy pieces with cotton for the daytime or wear head-to-toe for after-dark glamour.
Denim embraces luxe finishes, 1970s flair and 1990s androgyny, new personalised styles with brocade, embellishment, velvet and tapestry, extending into coats, dresses, bags and even boots.
These latest fashions are certainly as versatile and dynamic as the climate.
