Darwin bombing

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

THIS past Sunday was 75 years to the day since World War II reached our shores when Darwin was bombed. More than 240 people died, ships were sunk and buildings destroyed in the attack.

In total there were 97 air attacks on northern Australia.

We should be grateful that war has not visited these shores since.

DAN TEHAN, Minister for Veterans' Affairs.
