Hero’s welcome for Cartell’s villainess

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Fashion - With Desmond Eddy

MANNING Cartell has launched its autumn winter 2017 collection The Villainess.

The range reveals a dynamic bitter-sweet essence of the femme fatale thrown into the future.

The scene is set in a monochromatic palette of black and white.

Cosmetic hues of blush and cameo contrast with scarlet, rich topaz and marsala wine.

Long-line tailored coats, denim and military detailing underpin the relaxed silhouettes realised through fine lace, slip dresses and feminine frills.

Layered silk crinkled chiffon set against biker high-shine leather classics expose a tougher take on romantic dressing.

The fusing becomes more artful with neo punk stud detailing on delicate pieces.

The Villainess is a blend of youth and luxe drawn from Victorian punk and tough romance blending the feminine and the fierce.

Manning Cartell is having a collection launch in store of The Villainess with their top Claremont VIPS on Thursday, February 23 between 68pm.

Invite only at Claremont Quarter.
