Green takes centre stage
CAMERON Green took centre stage for the second time in a week, as the allrounder helped Subiaco-floreat towards a finals berth during round 14 of Premier Cricket.
Seventh-placed Subiaco-floreat, which is one point outside the top six with two rounds to play, took the upper hand against fifth-placed Melville in the crunch clash at Floreat Park Oval on Saturday.
The Storm managed an early strike to open the innings, before calming half-centuries to Alex Malcolm and Aaron Lilly steadied the ship for the home team.
At 4-131, the game looked in the balance before Green took control, smashing three fours and three sixes in a mature innings of 83.
The youngster was joined by WA teammate Jason Behrendorff (54) as they pushed the total beyond 300.
At Abbett Park on Saturday, Nick Hobson’s century saved Claremont-nedlands on day one against Scarborough.
The left-hander smashed 14 boundaries in his knock of 112, as the Tigers posted 250 all out.

University fought hard, but again struggled against a strong Perth side at Fletcher Park, with the Students middle order only able to get starts.
