Feast for a diva
ACCLAIMED WA Food ambassador Don
Hancey had the task of feeding Adele’s entourage for more than a week around the songstress’ sell-out show in Subiaco.
Speaking at the launch of Taste Great Southern event 24 hours after the concert, Mr Hancey said his team prepared about 2500 meals with the most popular being old-fashioned, homestyle meals such as Shepherd’s Pie and stir fry veges.
“It took 42 guys six days to build that stage and we’ve been looking after them breakfast, lunch and dinner,” Mr Hancey said.
And the lady herself certainly embraced WA produce.
“Adele ate Linley Valley pork, Mt Barker chicken, Butterfield Beef, Great Southern olive oil including 3 Drops, a lot of stunning fruit from Manjimup southern forests, Carnarvon bananas and Onslow snapper,” Mr Hancey said.
