THIEVES took about $500 cash when they raided the Cambridge Bowling and Recreation Club about 2am on March 7.
Senior Sergeant Paul Vojkovich said the thieves tried to smash the panel used to control the building’s security but the alarm was not affected. Internal doors were forced open and the building and its lounge bar searched.
Sgt Vojkovich said two people were seen leaving but distance from the witness and darkness prevented them from getting a description. SPIRITS were taken when thieves targeted Vintage Cellars, How tree Place, about 3.30am on March 6.
Senior Sergeant Vojkovich said attempts were also made to open a tobacco cabinet.
Police are reviewing CCTV and suspect the raid could be linked to a burglary at the nearby Cambridge Bowling and Recreation Club the following night.
