Neckpiece captures spirit of courage
SCARBOROUGH jewellery designer Keiko Uno’s bespoke statement neckpiece “Spirit of the Sea” will go under the hammer at this year’s Breast Cancer Care WA (BCCWA) Long Table Lunch.
Capturing the energy and freedom of the sea, the piece features generous waves of precious metal, pearls, Australian opals and gemstones.
Uno said she donated the piece to thank the organisation for its vital services.
“And to remember those who have lost the battle, and to celebrate those who have courageously beaten breast cancer,” she said.
The jeweller’s pieces have also been worn by BCCWA founder and patron Ros Worthington and world surfing champions Layne Beachley and Steph Gilmore.
