THIS two-storey home holds many happy memories for the owners, who have celebrated several milestones since moving in seven years ago.

“We started out engaged, got married, started two businesses and have had three children in this house,” they said.

“Our children have learned to walk and talk here and ride their bikes out on the street.

“We have shared cups of tea with the neighbours and annual Christmas barbecues with everyone on the street and laneway.”

The home is light-filled, with high, raked ceilings and golden-toned timber flooring in the living areas.

The owners have carried out renovations, creating a “unique home with a gorgeous tranquil feel”.

“The moment you close the gate it is like your little sanctuary,” they said.

They have updated the front garden area, adding artificial, low-maintenance lawn and turning the water feature into planter beds to remove any danger to children.

“This has extended the living area and made it very child-friendly, being able to close the gate and let the children play,” the owners said.

On the ground floor, the home has an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area that opens to a veranda and front yard, master bedroom with built-in robe, and bathroom.

Two more bedrooms and a powder room are upstairs.

There is another veranda at the back of the home.

It leads out to a barbecue area and pool. The secure double garage is at the back of the block, with access from a rear lane, and includes a studio.

“The studio was a wonderful, private space for an office and to work from home, and also a spare bedroom,” the owners said.

The home is on a 473sq m block and the owners said the location was arguably the best pocket in Subiaco.

“The neighbours have become great friends,” they said.

“We have really enjoyed walking to our morning coffees at Little Pantry and Melograno, and a wine at Juanitas at the end of the week.

“The kids love the local parks – we have spent a lot of time at the many parks, including our self-named Little Pussycat playground just around the corner.” ■
