CAN anyone explain the reason why West Australia is the only state which has conditions attached to a seniors card.
Family and friends in the east ask "where is your seniors card" whenever they visit.
They can present theirs on request in any state.
They still have full-time, well paid jobs and are automatically sent the card when they turn 60.
It's not a pension, but a way for the government to say thanks for their help over the years.
It would be nice to get a discount on some services.
After all, we have paid considerable taxes over the years.
