TWO Clas­sics Net­ball Club teams com­peted in the 2017 Judi Jones Memorial Game for the first time.

The an­nual match hon­ours for­mer Clas­sics pres­i­dent Judi Jones, who died on May 5, 2010.

Clas­sics 1 beat Clas­sics 2 55-32.

In other open di­vi­sion one matches, City Beach Surfers (1) beat Scar­bor­ough 72-27, Phan­toms de­feated Floreat 62-30 and CBS (2) had a 4931 win over Aran­more Jets.

In the ju­nior di­vi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion, CBS (1) beat CBS (2) 36-29, Clas­sics (1) beat John XXIII (1) 59-24, Methodist Ladies’ Col­lege (1) had a 38-29 win over Storm (1) and Clas­sics (2) de­feated Perth Col­lege (1) 38-22.

Clas­sics (1) de­feated JTC (1) 69-9 in the ju­nior year 78 di­vi­sion while New­man Siena Net­ball Club beat West Coast­ers 27-26, Clas­sics (2) had a 42-17 win over PC and St Hilda’s Angli­can School de­feated CBS 46-30.

The WA team took out Club of the Year again at the 2017 Aus­tralian Div­ing Age Cham­pi­onships.
