Restaurants will benefit

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Scene Out -

RESTAURANT owners will benefit from the Federal Government’s decision to extend its instant asset write-down, according to Bistro Felix owner Jeremy Cariss.

“As restaurants, we wear stuff out,” Mr Cariss said.

The Hay Street, Subiaco business owner said he had recently purchased new fridges and a laptop for the restaurant that would be covered under the asset writedown scheme.

Mr Cariss said the scheme was a good way for the Government to help small business rather than offering one-off cash payments.

He said it was welcome news after a tough year in business.

“We’ve had a tough year because of roadworks and no street lights,” he said.

“I’m hopeful, but not confident, we’ll have a better year but either way we’ll continue to provide a good service to people.”
