It’s Tuscany on the Swan

French double doors set the tone.

THIS tranquil residence has a laid-back Tuscan influence.

From the front gate, steps lead down to beautiful manicured gardens and on to the entrance, with enormous double doors imported from France.

The owners bought the two-storey home in 2006 and said the riverside location was the original drawcard, however the soul of the home won them over as soon as they walked in.

“This house truly has a beautiful feel to it,” they said.

“It was built in 1993 and the original owner built it to a high spec for its time,” they said.

“This included artistic features such as the wood-panelled office ceiling, the occasional coloured tile built into the external walls and french-style shutters.”

Inside the house is wonderfully light and open, with lovely formal and casual living spaces.

These include a large lounge room and the open-plan living/dining/kitchen, which all open to the main outdoor entertaining areas, gardens and pool.

The owners renovated the home in 2006/2007, adding a games room/fourth bedroom on the ground floor and a scullery with walk-in cool room.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, all open to a balcony with river views.

This house is full of wonderful places and the owner said their favourite was the master bedroom, with its stunning views across the Swan River, Point Walter and up to the Hills.

“It is such a relaxing and tireless scene,” they said.

“Our daughter loves her large bedroom, with its views to the city, which are exceptionally beautiful at night.

“Our son's favourite place is the Tv/games room and its courtyard, which is next to the pool; a fun indoor/outdoor area to hang with his friends.” ■
