HELP HEROES

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

After the Anzac day services, marches and TV coverage of what these horses and soldiers endured, not one ounce of common sense has prevailed, for as we all know the horrors of war are with us still.

So much for the so-called superior species (humans).

The brave men and their brave horses were so let down and deceived by those who sent them to war in the first place.

It is way overdue to show in practical terms the respect and enormous gratitude to these heroes by providing them with all and everything they need in life.

Laying of wreaths once a year does not do it. It is past time that the politicians of all persuasions stopped paying lip-service to all these men, women and not least of all the animals who actually sacrificed everything for their beloved country.

Politicians can start by instead of taking a pay rise as they do with such regularity without even having to ask for it, giving it to those who truly deserve it and have definitely earned it.
