APPLECROSS ART & FRAMING

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Work Of Art -

THE feature artists for this month at Applecross Art & Framing are Terry Cousins and Henry Mclaughlin with their exhibition People & Places.

A well-loved WA artist, Terry Cousins has been painting and exhibiting since 1979.

Terry uses a style of painting called bas-relief where the works are built up, sculpted and then painted, giving a 3D effect.

This time consuming method means Terry produces only a few paintings each year making his sought after work rare to come by.

Henry Mclaughlin’s paintings reflect the beautiful landscapes of WA and his home country Ireland.

This exhibition will showcase some of Henry’s newest paintings of Rottnest.

All are welcome to the exhibition opening on Thursday, June 15, from 6pm, where the artists will be present and refreshments provided.

The exhibition will run until Sunday, June 25.

Applecross Art & Framing was established in early 2002 and offers quality picture framing and restoration services alongside its gallery featuring original work from artists all over Australia.
