Spaddacini home the best in Australia
WA has brought home three awards from the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards on May 27, including the prestigious Australian Home of the Year trophy.
Multi award-winning Spadaccini Homes was rewarded with the accolade for its work on a Sorrento project. It also took out the category for Australian Custombuilt Home.
Judges were impressed by the Seaward Loop residence’s faultless workmanship, attention to detail and high-quality finishes such as marble flooring, stone cladding and glass mosaics.
“We’re absolutely blown out of the water, just ecstatic,” Spadaccini Homes director Rob Spadaccini said of the win.
“It’s pretty surreal considering I’ve been running my business for 30 years and I have had 30 chances across 10,000 builders Australia-wide, so I was pretty taken aback knowing that we’ve built a home that is number one in Australia. Most builders dream of this but it seldom comes to fruition, so I’m very proud.”
Mr Spadaccini said he owed the win to the people he had worked with in his career.
“Personally, I believe we won because of our ability to execute extremely difficult homes with great ease, our amazing trade base which has been closely working for us for 10 to 20 years and the knowledge we have when it comes to executing these very detailed homes,” he said.
“I’d personally like to thank all my trades, suppliers and all my clients; all my clients are amazing and I’m very fortunate to have a trade and supplier base that supports me and the industry, especially at a time like this.”
