Work begins on new East Perth apartment block development
PLANNING Minister Rita Saffioti attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Blackburne’s Enclave development in East Perth recently, her first since being elected earlier this year.
“I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the project. I do understand how tough the market is but it is great to see projects like Enclave going ahead – it’s a sign that good products in great locations will continue to sell,” Ms Saffioti said.
“We are a pro-density government and want to see more and more people having the choice to live in high-quality apartments, enabling them to stay living in a suburb they enjoy.”
Enclave is being built by WA builder Jaxon and is the third Blackburne project to have started construction in the past 12 months.
It is on Bronte Street and will include 69 one, two or three-bedroom apartments over 12 storeys.
More than 70 per cent of the apartments have already been sold.
“When buyers move into Enclave in spring next year, they’ll be just moments away from the footbridge connecting them to the new Perth Sta- dium, walking distance to the Point Fraser precinct, home to the new Ku De Ta and just minutes away from the Perth CBD,” Blackburne managing director Paul Blackburne said.
“The significant investment in infrastructure will continue to make East Perth a desirable place to live, with buyers so far saying that the location and what is planned for the area is one of the main reasons they purchased.”
