LOOK how we've changed since 1989!
If you've been a longtime resident of WA you will no doubt remember that Constable Care once had a moustache (where did that go?) or maybe you recall the 'somewhat awkward' safety rhymes printed in the newspaper or perhaps even the larger-thanlife Constable Care mascot meeting the kids at Perth's events?
Well, even though these things still spring to mind for some West Aussies, we've actually come a very long way from our ’80s roots and now work with a new generation of youth through a wide range of cutting-edge safety and crime prevention programs.
I'm proud to introduce our newest creation, the Constable Care Safety School.
This state-of-the-art 4500sq m experiential learning centre in Maylands is designed to give primary school kids a chance to practise the Child road and transport safety skills they learn at school in a realistic road environment packed with all the features they'll find out there in the real world.
It’s all scaled to kid size and fully functional.
Not only that, we've added a whole augmented reality experience so that school groups of up to 60 students at a time can experience ‘real’ travel risks overlaid on the actual environment through the magic of technology.
It's seriously cool, very cutting edge and as far as we know, it's a world-first happening right here in WA!
