Blend of resort-style living and comfort

Spacious home ticks all the boxes. By NATALIE HORDOV

WHETHER you like to entertain, have guests stay regularly, work from home or are simply looking for a spacious home to suit a family, this Hamptons-style residence ticks all the boxes.

Built in 2012, it is a sophisticated blend of resort-style living, luxury features and family functionality.

It makes an elegant first impression, with manicured hedges and trees on either side of the stairs leading to a veranda and the entry.

The study is near the entrance, making it easy to receive clients if you work from home, and has custom-built cupboards, shelves and storeroom.

From there a central hallway leads past the master bedroom, with a huge dressing room and ensuite with floor-to-ceiling tiling, double vanity unit and rain-head shower.

There is also a guest bedroom, ensuite, powder room and second study/activity room in this wing.

The three generously-sized children’s bedrooms, all with built-in robes, and bathroom are in a separate wing.

The spacious living areas are at the back of the home and include a media room and huge open-plan living/dining/kitchen zone.

The kitchen is a cook’s dream with Caesarstone benchtops, island bench, scullery, ample storage space, Miele ovens and an integrated dishwasher.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors overlook the backyard and 5 4 pool and open to the alfresco area with built-in barbecue.

The pool has an infinity/waterfall edge, terraced area and pool house with bathroom.

The owner said their family had been very happy in the home on an 1163sq m block.

“The separate areas allow you to have guests and not intrude on the running of the household,” they said.

“Entertaining is a breeze. The living area opens to the alfresco and you can entertain outdoors with the kids in the pool, and inside all at once without having to move for supervision.”

They said the community was a quiet and friendly hub where you got to know people. ■ 2
