A STOLEN utility was used in an attempted ram raid at Smales jewellery store, Rokeby Road, about 12.30am on September 4.
“CCTV shows it being reversed on an angle when its rear corner was used to try smash security screens,” Sergeant Paul Vojkovich said. A man was captured briefly getting out of the white ute and inspecting damage to the 2013-model Holden Colorado with the registration 1EEK 167, which was taken earlier from Armadale, before the vehicle drove off as the store’s alarm activated. Sgt Vojkovich said the vehicle sustained substantial damage and had not been recovered late last week.
