Whip around for char­ity

RIDES on the El­iz­a­beth Quay Carousel will cost just a gold coin do­na­tion this Satur­day to raise money char­ity Zero2hero. The carousel, opened Ro­han Toni in for by and Milne De­cem­ber 2016, has been closed for a month but will re­open this week­end with new seat­ing and fresh land­scap­ing. “Af­ter al­most 18 months in op­er­a­tion, the El­iz­a­beth Quay Carousel has been warmly em­braced by the peo­ple of Perth,” Mr Milne said.

“It is time for us to say thank you and raise money for our friends at Zero2hero who are stand­ing up for young minds with their in­cred­i­ble work around ed­u­ca­tion and aware­ness of men­tal ill­ness.”

Zero2hero chief ex­ec­u­tive Ash­lee Har­ri­son said part­ner­ing with the El­iz­a­beth Quay Carousel team would help en­gage heroes of all ages in con­ver­sa­tions about men­tal health.
