A THIEF’S sus­pected weapon made by wrap­ping tape around a metal bar was a found in a white Subaru that was taken from a Mary Street home be­tween 1am and 11.15am on April 1.

Sergeant Ian An­der­son said the weapon, stolen knives, a brief­case, med­i­ca­tion and tools were in the car when it was found in Hec­tor Street, Yokine, two days later.

It is not known how the thief en­tered the house, where a bed­room was searched, be­fore house keys and the car were taken from a side ta­ble.
