Cambodia co-operation

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Health -

A SEA container packed with donated hospital equipment is on its way to Cambodia, thanks to hospital volunteers and Christ Church Grammar School students.

Senior radiologist Anita Bourke has been working with the Hospital Equipment Service to co-ordinate donations from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital to send to the Nokor Tep Foundation.

The foundation develops improved health programs, facilities and services for Cambodian women and raises funds for the Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital in Phnom Penh, with donations processed by Rotary Australia World Community Service.

A group of Year 10 boys from CCGS joined Dr Bourke’s team recently to fill a sea container with beds no longer required by Perth hospitals and consumables like dressings.
