Colour palette inspired by coast

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Residential -

IT is all about impressing friends and family at this majestic Trigg residence, which was recently completed by AMG Home Builders for house-proud owners Rhianna and Nathan.

“The home is designed for entertaining,” AMG Home Builders design and sales manager Tony Galante said.

“The main living areas needed to have good connection to the alfresco and that, in turn, would spill out to the pool and landscaped area.

“High on our clients’ list was the importance for natural light penetrating the main living areas.”

Located a five-minute walk to the beach, the design showcases a colour palette inspired by the coast and uses it to enhance the many design details throughout.

These include a front terraced area for a lazy afternoon cuppa, which is carefully integrated into the landscaping.

The home’s acrylic rendered facade sets off the natural stone cladding and leads the eye towards the glazed front entry.

Inside, a hallway with a beautiful timber staircase greets visitors and leads past a home theatre with plush carpet, built-in cabinetry and plantation shutters, a guest suite, as well as a roomy study nook.

The floor plan then opens up into the massive open-plan main living area, consisting of a sprawling family/sitting room and large dining space that spill out seamlessly to the alfresco entertaining zone.

The thoughtful orientation of the space floods it with natural light and takes advantage of the afternoon sea breezes that roll in.

The family’s chef also gets a prime vantage point from the kitchen, which overlooks all three spaces and is begging for guests to sit around the island bench for a chat.

The sleek workspace also features a scullery.

Cooking in summer is made easier with the builtin barbecue area with rangehood in the alfresco zone and also allows parents to keep an eye on the kids as they splash about in the pool. A beverage fridge ensures a cold one is also never far away.

“There were a number of conceptual drawings which explored the options available and together with a computer-generated 3D virtual walkthrough, the owners felt much at ease that they had given all options due consideration,” Mr Galante said.

“The advantage of the 3D walkthrough is that it gives the client a realistic view of their home as a furnished, completed product.”

The walkthrough ensured Rhianna and Nathan were happy with the separation of the parents’ and kids’ bedrooms on the upper floor, which was one of their must-haves.

“We love everything about out home – it’s a dream for entertaining, it’s light, spacious and the space just flows perfectly,” Nathan and Rhianna said.

The residence will be open for viewing by appointment only on October 20; registrations are essential. Call 9446 8886 or visit amghome
