RUGBY LEAGUE: IT’S fi­nals sea­son for more than the se­niors this week, with both Charleville High and the ju­nior football league play­ing big matches over the week.

Af­ter Charleville High School’s re­cent trip, St Ge­orge has re­turned the favour, play­ing an ex­hi­bi­tion match on Fri­day. It was a tie 26-all.

War­ren Draper was prob­a­bly the most no­table player, with a charge the length of the field.

Charleville High is play­ing another game in Roma in pos­si­bly a fort­night.

On Satur­day it was ju­nior rugby grand fi­nal, with Black­all the visi­tors this time around.

At un­der-6 level, the Tigers beat the Bron­cos, with awards go­ing to Liam Garn­ham as player of the car­ni­val, Matt Ah­ern for Player of the Year and Mitch Wilkes for Player of the Grand Fi­nal.

The un­der-10War­riors beat the Rab­bitohs, with Jack Sar­good tak­ing the Jason Jen­nings Me­mo­rial Player of the Grand Fi­nal prize, and Kipp Sin­gle­ton the Michael O’Con­nell Me­mo­rial Tro­phy for Player of the Year.

The Cowboys rode off with the prize at un­der-12, beat­ing the Storm. Brock Camp­bell won Player of the Grand Fi­nal, with Jack Schultz win­ning the Alma and Mac Mitchell Me­mo­rial Tro­phy for Player of the Year.

Brodie Good­man and Ma­son Barry were most im­proved play­ers, with Trin­ity Garn­ham win­ning Rookie of the Year.
