NICOLE Bruce has owned her Dalby beauty salon for 20 years this August, and what better way to celebrate her success than spending two weeks in France applying make-up for the rich and famous.

After making some influential contacts in the industry, Mrs Bruce was invited to be part of make-up artist Liz Bomben’s team in France. While there, Mrs Bruce said she worked on board a presidential superyacht in Cannes, applying make-up as part of the Cannes Film Festival.

“I also did a fashion show at a private villa, as well as the Monaco Grand Prix Amber Lounge,” Mrs Bruce said.

“We saw Nicole Kidman, Ben Stiller, Emma Thompson, Pamela Anderson and Donatella Versace,” she said.

As a mother of four who has been deaf since she was two, Mrs Bruce wanted to show her children they could reach any goal.

“I want to show my kids what you can achieve in life by working hard,” she said.
