Record breaking attempt
GRANDE Country Carnivále is giving guests the opportunity to be part of a record breaking attempt, encouraging attendees to take part in longest single line dance event during the mega weekend celebrations.
Organisers are inviting all individuals, groups, schools and organisations to come together to achieve this record breaking feat for regional south west Qld, with the dance to take place at 10.30 am on October 21.
All participating groups will be advertised, and given the option of wearing their branded uniforms in the dance.
The event will be photographed and filmed by a range of news media.
The mega weekend celebrations are to be held at Bassett Park, Roma over the weekend of October 21-22, with the carnivále running for a week starting October 16.
If breaking records isn’t your thing, the mega weekend celebrations also boasts an incredible range of adrenaline pumped action, stalls and displays for the whole family.
The carnivále week will also bring a packed program of activities to the Roma community, bringing a number of Aussie talents, such as Australian country music icon Tania Kernaghan, sand sculptor Dennis Massoud, international horse whisperer Donal Hancock, and a feature music performance by J-L Rathbone, to town.
Tickets for the mega weekend celebrations are now available for purchase through Eventbrite or by phoning 0408 463 976.
A percentage of the admission fee will be donated to LifeFlight.
