Fi­nals on the hori­zon for Charleville net­ballers

NETBALL: Com­pe­ti­tion was fierce on the Charleville netball courts on Thurs­day evening, as the re­main­ing teams bat­tled it out for a spot in next week’s grand fi­nals.

Eight teams played in the quar­ter fi­nal, with some of the strong­est go­ing head to head in the knock-out matches.

In the first game of the night, the Blun­der­birds came up against the Big Bangs, with both teams hav­ing an al­most spot­less sea­son record of wins.

As ex­pected, the game was a close one, with the Blun­der­birds sneak­ing ahead to take out the win with a score of 29-27.

The next match of the evening was be­tween the Mul­ti­ple Score­gasms and the Other Ones in pool B.

Though the Mul­ti­ple Score­gasms started the game with a bet­ter track record, the Other Ones came through to snatch vic­tory with a score of 20-13.

The Odds fended off the Young Guns 25-17 to se­cure their spot in the A pool fi­nal and the An­gels won the last game of the evening, de­feat­ing Vic­to­ri­ous Se­cret 22-14.

The grand fi­nals will be played on Septem­ber 14.
