Dust and dirt at pony event

COM­PETI­TORS from all over the state were put to the test at the pony club cham­pi­onships in Roma last week.

Be­gin­ning last Mon­day, teams from over 25 zones com­peted in the PCAQ State Gymkhana/Sport­ing/ Mounted Games and Cam­p­draft­ing 2017 Cham­pi­onships.

The five day event show­cased the ta­lent from each of the age groups from the dif­fer­ent zones.

Bat­tling the heat, rid­ers com­peted to take out the win­ning rib­bons and ti­tles in each event.

As well as trav­el­ling from afar there were also a num­ber of com­peti­tors from around the re­gion.

Rid­ers from St Ge­orge and Charleville turned out for the event.

The Roma Pony Club were con­grat­u­lated for host­ing a suc­cess­ful five days of cham­pi­onships at Bas­sett Park.
