Archers add a feather to caps
ARCHERY: The Charleville field archers had a successful shoot last weekend, with bowmen having the opportunity to sharpen their aim and hone their skills.
A number of new shooters were introduced to the sport and relished the chance to hit a few bullseyes on a warm morning in the southwest.
The event was a three arrow with a top score of 400m and a maximum distance of 48m.
Barry Street top-scored, shooting an impressive 382 points with the compound bow with sights.
Second overall was Robert Street, who scored 292 with a recurve bow.
Third place on the podium went to Brock Carr, who shot 288 off a recurve bow off a cub peg.
