Show­girl judg­ing

THE Miss Show­girl judg­ing will take place on Satur­day, May 12 at a high tea.

Head along and sup­port the se­nior and ju­nior show­girls at the town hall and en­joy an af­ter­noon of beer, wine, cham­pagne and yummy food.

A prize for best hat will be judged by the show­girl en­trants, so guests are en­cour­aged to go all out.

Tick­ets are $25 each and are avail­able from the Charleville Newsagency.

Charleville Show

THE town is in count­down mode as we ap­proach this year’s Charleville Show set for May 18–20.

Join in all the ac­tion from Fri­day when the pavil­ion will be open so vis­i­tors can see all the best cook­ing, art­work and pho­to­graphs on dis­play.

Con­tinue the fes­tiv­i­ties that evening at sideshow al­ley and give the rides a whirl.

Satur­day show­go­ers can en­joy an af­ter­noon at the races, with a five-race pro­gram, fash­ions on the field and fun on the agenda. Fin­ish the evening off with the rodeo from 6pm. WHEN: Fri­day, May 18 to Sun­day, May 20 WHERE: Charleville Show­grounds

Dance the night away

BACK N Busi­ness will be play­ing at the El­lan­gowan Ho­tel in Au­gathella on Fri­day.

Dress up in your favourite

Star Wars cos­tume and head down to dance the night away for May the 4th Be With You.

Street party

HEAD along to the an­nual Half­way There Shindig Street Party.

There will be live mu­sic, mar­kets, food and fun on of­fer.

If you are head­ing to the Big Red Bash and are look­ing for a half­way stop, stay overnight in Charleville and en­joy a rest and the street party.

Big birth­day bash

AS THE say­ing goes, go big or go home and that is ex­actly what Charleville is do­ing by cel­e­brat­ing 150 years and the Bilby Fes­ti­val.
