Miniseries: Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence

Western Times - - LIFE TV GUIDE -

Sunday, abc, 8.40pm Embellished with a film-noir look and foreboding story, this adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1958 novel invites you into a murky yet aesthetically beautiful world. Bill Nighy (Love Actually) fronts a fine cast in this gripping crime thriller. When heiress Rachel Argyll (Anna Chancellor, pictured) is murdered at her family estate, her wayward adopted son Jack (Anthony Boyle) is arrested for the crime. We jump forward 18 months as her widower (Bill Nighy) is set to remarry, but romance is cast aside when a mysterious person claims to have proof that Jack was innocent, setting the scene for a Cluedo-like search for the real killer.
