Take a swing

NOW is the time for keen golfers to be in Charleville, be­cause free coach­ing clin­ics are be­ing held and all are wel­come.

John Collins, head pro­fes­sional coach from Brook­wa­ter Golf Club, is vis­it­ing along with his trainee and will spend two days in town giv­ing golf tips to ladies, gents and kids. WHEN: Oc­to­ber 4-5. WHERE: Charleville Golf Club.

High tea

AU­GATHELLA will be the lo­ca­tion for the classi­est gar­den party in the west when the Iso­lated Chil­dren’s Par­ents’ As­so­ci­a­tion branch hosts a high tea gar­den party.

Fundrais­ing for the group, the morn­ing tea/lunch will have a bar on hand and bou­tiques from across the re­gion sell­ing their gor­geous wares.

QUEENS­LAND Rugby League is stag­ing a Drought Re­lief Good­will Tour in part­ner­ship with Men of League and FOGS.

Cur­rent and for­mer NRL stars will bring some cheer for five fun-filled days across south­west Queens­land.

Bush goes Bavar­ian

TAMBO QCWA in­vites one and all to Ok­to­ber­fest in Tambo, a cel­e­bra­tion of de­li­cious Ger­man food and beer.

It’ll be the great­est party in town, with live mu­sic, games and prizes for those who step out in their best pair of leder­ho­sen.

Party buses will be rolling in from Black­all but book­ings are re­quired. WHEN: Oc­to­ber 19 from 6.30pm.
