Forbidden love put to the test
Bride and Prejudice: Forbidden Weddings, Seven, Monday at 8.30pm
A NEW batch of star-crossed lovers and their disapproving relatives will feature in the second season of Seven’s controversial reality series.
Last year’s debut season of the show made headlines as viewers watched people like Chris, a gay man marrying the love of his life whose parents refused to participate in his wedding.
This year there’s Philippa, whose parents worry her fiance Ryan, 19 years her junior, is a gold digger.
Season two ups the tension, with the six couples staying together at a retreat and taking part in therapy sessions guided by relationship expert Leanne Hall.
It’s going to be intense viewing, with tearful confrontations and walkouts as the couples and their families go head to head.
