Red hot and blue

Porsche has made something of a speciality of retina-searing baby blues, with Mexico Blue (paint code L336) being a part of its heritage stretching back to the 1974 G series. The slightly paler Riviera Blue (L3AG and L39E) debuted on the 1995 993-series 911, while the colour of our test GT3, Miami Blue (M5C), is a relatively recent introduction, appearing on Porsche’s options list in 2016. It’s a lighter shade with a little more turquoise in the mix than Riviera and is a $7990 option. Too feminine for the ballsy GT3? You’d best be the judge of that.
