F1 versus V8 Supercars
“F1 is different, for sure; you can’t compare touring car racing with a real race car, but the fact is you could get the best blokes out of F1 – you get Hamilton or Vettel or Raikkonen – and if you put them in a V8 race here, they would get smashed; the boys would make mince meat out of them, because it’s such a different thing.
“It would take even someone like Hamilton lots of time to be competitive. I reckon it would take them half a year to get anywhere near to fighting at the front.
“All the guys driving here at the front – Whincup, people like that – they are very, very good drivers. But it’s the same for them; if they changed category and went to F1, they’d get smashed to start with.”
