Bleach* Festival

Where Brisbane - - What’s On Gold Coast -

This month the Gold Coast plays host to Bleach*, an innovative contemporary arts festival. Bleach* takes over 14 public spaces and venues, offering everything from live music with sets from Angus Stone’s new project Dope Lemon, blues and roots legend Ash Grunwald, Tia Gostelow and songstress Emily Warramurra; to giant illuminated “Fantastic Planet” humanoids, an epic Fun Run marathon in the heart of Surfers Paradise and “Frank Enstein”, a bold new dance retelling of the classic tale. International hit burlesque show “Blanc de Blanc” takes up residence in the Gold Coast’s first Spiegeltent, while a beauty pageant with a difference will surprise and draw the crowds into a country town hall. The free event “Here I am!” invites children to create a world they want to live in and adults to observe what the next generation has in mind.
