Les Clefs d’or
LES CLEFS D’OR welcomes you to Queensland—the Sunshine State—and what a time to come and visit! As we change from winter into spring the city comes to life with colour and sound. We say goodbye to EKKA and hello to 22 days of wonder with Brisbane Festival, which kicks off on 9 September. It runs all month finishing off with a spectacular fireworks display on 30 September along the Brisbane River, that will no doubt be one of the most impressive displays of fireworks you have seen, and what a way to close this epic festival every year.
During September, the Brisbane Festival will showcase the best of what Brisbane has to offer. South Bank will be buzzing all month with exhibitions, plays, food stalls, light shows, live music, and comedy shows. Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Brisbane Powerhouse (New Farm) will be showcasing a variety of shows throughout the month. For more information of events and activities for this great festival please see your hotel concierge or visit brisbanefestival.com.au/whats-on
During August some lucky Brisbane concierge had the opportunity to experience Brisbane by air thanks to the generosity of S&S Aviation, based out of Mt Coot-tha. Brendan from S&S Aviation gave us a tour of the city like no other, flying onto Sirromet Winery in the luxurious H125 Helicopter, the only one of its kind in South East Queensland. We were blessed with a spectacular winter’s afternoon and really got to know Brisbane from a different, and must do angle. For all enquiries visit sandsaviation.com.au
Should you approach your concierge desk and be greeted by a member of Les Clefs d’or, you will instantly recognise the golden keys worn on their lapels. This is a symbol that you will receive only the best advice for your stay. Members of Les Clefs d’or are well networked not only in their city, but around the world and can help you with any request, no matter how big or small. I encourage you to have a conversation with them, challenge them and pick their brains. I promise you will not be left unimpressed.
