Renowned as one of the most spectacular outdoor operas, Opera Australia presents “Griffith Opera on the Beach— Aida” on the gorgeous sands of Coolangatta Beach. Don’t miss this spectacular production under the starry night sky with waves lapping nearby. It’s the perfect setting to experience fireworks of the vocal and the pyrotechnic kind, colourful costumes and even local surf life savers getting in on the action. Performed in Italian and directed by Hugh Halliday, the show features some of Australia’s finest singers alongside the Opera Australia Community Choir. Turn to page 10 for our interview with Natalie Aroyan who plays Aida.
