March is a wonderful time to be in Melbourne. There is truly something for everyone this month.

Events abound in March, with everything from Moomba and the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, through to the Australian Grand Prix, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (page 10).

Fantastic productions are playing at every major theatre in March, so you can see for yourself why Melbourne is the theatre capital of Australia. There’s “The Full Monty” at the National Theatre, “Kinky Boots” at Her Majesty’s Theatre, “Ladies in Black” at the Regent Theatre, and the Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon” is playing at the Princess Theatre (page 22).

A wonderfully hilarious production of the English hit “The Play That Goes Wrong” is on at the Comedy Theatre. We spoke to the show’s director, Sean Turner, about this entertaining and very funny play (page 16).

If all these options are tiring you out, escape the city for a relaxing day in the Yarra Valley. Mary O’brien gives us her top picks for a splendid day spent soaking up the Yarra Valley vibes (page 14).

However you choose to spend your time here in Melbourne, we hope you have a superb stay!
