The won­der­ful Mel­bourne tra­di­tion of great things be­ing found down small laneways con­tin­ues with The French Brasserie. The French Brasserie is a pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tion for Mel­bourne’s Fran­cophiles with Head Chef Lionel Abello of­fer­ing the per­fect gar­lic es­car­got. Pro­pri­etor Hadj Sadki is happy to offer ad­vice on a menu that blends traditional and mod­ern French favourites with ex­cep­tion­ally fresh local pro­duce. He is also happy to sug­gest a de­light­ful wine (or two) to en­hance each course. Their highly rec­om­mended menu in­cludes es­car­got, bouil­l­abase, cas­soulet and dessert favourite, crème brûlée.
