THE THIRD ANNUAL Victorian Les Clefs d’or Hospitality Scavenger Hunt was held this month at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park. This year, we had a record 25 teams participating in the event. Starting at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park, the teams ran around Melbourne learning about the sporting district and Fitzroy Gardens area, which made for some interesting photos! This year’s teams went all out on dressing up and we had pirates, mad doctors, Lego pieces and Super Mario Bros. The overall winner was the team from Hertz with an outstanding score. We look forward to arranging next year’s event, which will be even bigger.

We were invited to sample the famous high tea at The Hotel Windsor by Victorian member Ali Sungkar. A relaxing afternoon was spent sipping on champagne and sampling various cakes and scones. A true icon of Melbourne, it was great to enjoy the classic atmosphere of The Hotel Windsor. A refined afternoon with some refined gentlemen!

Red Spice Road celebrated its 10-year anniversary recently and invited the concierge community to come along and help them mark the occasion. Executive chef John Mcleay provided a sample of their delicious South East Asian menu. Plenty of spice ensured a fun night was had by all.

Saké Restaurant and Bar Flinders Lane and Saké Restaurant and Bar Hamer Hall invited the concierge to dine at both their restaurants. The contemporary Japanese sample plate menu was a treat to try. With plenty of fresh takes on Japanese food, it is well recommended. Both restaurants are very modern and sleek, and bring sophisticated dining to both areas of Melbourne.
